To Magic Jack My DSL comes through my land line (windstream) so how will it work that way?

With DSL service, the same wires share PSTN telephone service And DSL Internet service. In some cases, people disconnect their PSTN telphone service, but still keep DSL Internet, still on the same wire pair.

Magicjack is just VoIP service, where your computer acts like the telephone interface between your VoIP Softphone, or Magicjack USB adapter.

All VoIP services, such as Magicjack, Skype, Gizmo5, Efonica, CallCentric, Vonage, Packet8, etc. use High-Speed Internet connection to make phone calls. VoIP is a totally different way of making phone calls from the traditional PSTN landline telephone service. It is just that in your case, your Internet connection travels over the same wires as you PSTN telephone service.

All the above VoIP services will work just the same if you had high-speed Cable Internet service instead of DSL Internet. VoIP travels over Internet.... it doesn't care how you get the Internet connection.|||If you're looking to lower your monthly phone bill then the MagicJack is the way to go. DSL or Cable will work fine. I have mine on Comcast cable and friends use it on their Bellsouth DSL and we have no complaints. For the price, it's totally worth it.

All you would need to do is plug it into a free USB slot and within a few mins you'll be calling like you would on a regular house line.

Here are some video reviews and news coverage on the MagicJack:

|||Trust me on this one...DSL is not that great for Magic-Jack or any VOIP service. A good broadband connection is far better to eliminate cut-off, echos, dead spaces in phone conversations. Also, do NOT replace your home service with something as Mickey Mouse as Magic-Jack.!!! Incoming calls are usually voicemail...(when it works!)

|||All you need is a reliable high-speed Internet....DSL....Cable of wifi like clearwire.com and you will not have any problems!

The MagicJack has nothing to do with your phone provider......you plug the MJ device into your USB drive....download the software and you're ready to make calls.....its very easy!
