I am looking for a stock price of Windstream Corporation as on 7/2/1998. I think there was a merger or stock spin involved to find the price.|||I believe this went public 9 February 2005, Windstream Corporation formed through the spinoff of Alltel's landline business and merger with VALOR Communications Group, serving 3.4 million access lines in 16 states. Windstream Corporation common stock begins trading on the New York Stock Exchange, and the company is listed on the S%26amp;P 500 index.
Alltel was formed in 1983 when Allied and Mid-Continent Telephone Company of Ohio merged.
